US Arrests 21 for Visa Fraud in Fake University Sting

The law and order control authority of United States arrested about 21 suspects as they have done the visa fraud conspiracy and in this way, they have allowed more than 1000 foreign students, from which most of the students came from China and India. They want to extend their stay in US illegally.

Federal agents have their own fake university and they ensure the education to the suspects and the spotlight has shown the growing concern about visa fraud when the illegal immigration became the big issue in the presidential campaign in US.

Prosecutors did their job and they investigated that the recruiters, employers and brokers were charged with conspiracy to commit the visa fraud and also did the conspiracy of harbor the aliens and they can be sentenced to five and ten years of punishment in the prison.

The investigators of the Homeland Security established their fake University of Northern New Jersey in September 2013 and they found the visa fraud from the foreigners, who maintained their non immigrant status of the non-immigrants on false pretenses. They also found no teachers, no curriculum and no classes in these so called universities and they have posted their agents as their administrators.

They pretended that they have the authority that they can grant certificate and it can allow the legitimate student visa for the foreign students. The defendants enrolled the names of the foreign clients fraudulently and they can maintain their student visa status and they get the kickbacks over it.

The fake university administration has created the false record of the students and their diplomas for which the clients were paid and they cheated the immigration authorities and they alleged the fake university and its certificate and they extend work visa fraudulently for most of the clients, employment verification letters, create false contracts and transcripts and various other documents.

The allegations show that the defendants had to pay these undercover agents thousands of dollars and affix the letterhead of school on the fake documents and sign on their paper work. US authorities said that they were cancelling the visas of the foreign students in which mostly included from the Asian countries and they also arrest them, if they considered it necessary.

The chief of the New Jersey prosecutor, Paul Fishman said that they can exploit the immigration system so that they can get the financial gain. He further added that the ‘Pay to Stay’ damaged the scheme for the legitimate students and the foreign worker visa programs and it is the real threat to the national security.

There are about one million foreign students, who were enrolled in the higher education programs in US in 2014-2015, which was 10% more than the previous year. The total number of China and India was 67% of the increase in the international students and they constitute about 45 percent of the total number of the foreign students.
