400 Students of Zikria University Protest on not Getting the Laptop

According to the staff reporter, Bahulldin, in Multan, the ceremony of distribution of laptops and internship was disturbed when almost 400 students in the pendal started their protest on not getting the laptop. The students started hooting and shouting because of which the debaters were greatly disturbed. The speaker of the Punjab Assembly Rana Mashor Khan gave confirmation to the affected students that they will soon get their laptops but still the shouting was not stopped. The people of MSF also protest against the Registrar of the Zikria University. They were carrying a great banner in the protest on which it was written that from Dr. Muhammad Ali Shahme the position of registrar along with other positions should be taken back. Many lecturers came up on the pendal and after building understanding with the students, send them outside the pendal.

After the end of the ceremony, on the basis of the protest of the students, the Provincial Minister of Education Mian Shaujah-ur-Reham was asked many questions. He replied that the laptops were distributed on the basis of the list which was given to the Provincial Government. He also insured that the list of left out students will be made and they will be soon given their laptops. Hundreds of student protested in front of the office of Vice Chancellor, but after confirmation from the administration of university, they left the protest. On this occasion, the personal adviser of Chief Minister, Rao Anees-ur-rehman said that students of the merit list, not getting their laptops, shows the bad performance of the university administration, but a person from the university stopped him in the middle and said to Rao Anees-ur-rehman that you are also a part of Government of Punjab, so you should not be saying this.
