TEVTA Increases IT Students to 60,000

Lahore, The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) is playing major role in producing the qualified individuals with technical education in order to provide employment opportunities with the projects in CPEC on the horizon. The authorities at TEVTA declared that they are going to increase the number of students, in the IT short courses up to 60,000 all over Punjab.

The chairperson of TEVTA addressed with the meeting that this organization offered the course in 135 institutes in various districts of Punjab. He informed that about 5000 students completed the course in the first batch and same number of students are completing in the second batch. He further said that the total number of students were 5090 in which 2230 were the women, which is 40% of the total enrolment of the candidates. He said that women should come in this field as they have more opportunities in the IT sector and they have greater salaries. He provided details of the courses and said that Microsoft was charging up to $105 per student from TEVTA and now this amo8nt is decreased by $10.

The main aim of the TEVTA is to eradicate the unemployment from the province Punjab and the young generation will be equipped with technical education and skills by designing the course according to the requirements of the market.
