HEC Awards Laptop to AIOU 2500 Students Under PM Youth Laptop Scheme

PM Youth Laptop Scheme

Islamabad, Higher Education Commission has declared that the laptop will be awarded to the 2500 students of Allama Iqbal Open University. The students, who have completed their education at the MPhil and PhD levels, they will be eligible for the laptop under the youth laptop scheme for Prime Minister in the third phase.

The candidates were selected country wide basis for the award of the laptop and the laptop awarding ceremony was organized n second consecutive day at main campus of the university. In the first stage, there were 250 candidates of Islamabad region to get the laptops under PM laptop scheme.

The vice chancellor of AIOU addressed with the laptop distribution ceremony, he congratulated the candidates and recipients of the laptop and said that it was the credit of their creative skills and their hard work. He also thanked the higher education commission for providing support and gives necessary funds to carry on the research work.

The special cash awards are also given to the students of the higher education for doing the compatible quality research work and produced worthwhile projects to assist the society for its socio-economic issues.

Laptop distribution ceremony was attended by the deans of the sciences, Dr Naghmana Rashid, dean of social sciences, Dr Samina Awan, dean of education department, Dr Nasir Mahmood, Dean of Islamic studies, Dr Mohi Uddin Hashmi, director of Rawalpindi region, Dr Malik Tauqeer Ahmed and Director of advisory services of students Rana Tariq Javed.
