HEC Prime Minister Laptop Scheme 2017
Lahore, the government of Pakistan launched the laptop scheme in 2013 and it was decided that one lakh laptops would be awarded each year to the university students at the MPhil and PhD level. HEC has already distributed about 3 lakhs laptops among the students in previous three years. The HEC extends the students and now they included BS students in the PM laptop scheme. Now it has been decided that remaining 2 lakhs laptops will be awarded to the students in the last year as this is the last year of the sitting government and it wants to complete the target of 5 lakhs laptops to the students of the government universities. The higher education commission sets the last date of applying for the laptops, which is 30th September 2017.
First they included the students of the government universities and now the students of colleges and the technical colleges are also included in this laptop scheme. Now the students of the distant learning universities and the degree awarding students are also included in this laptop scheme of the prime minister. The government has decided to give away two lakhs laptops to the students in the final year to complete the target of giving away 5 lakhs laptops in 4 years.
