Admission Criteria Set By SUET for Academic Year 2013


Karachi, SSUET which is stands for Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology has started admission process for the academic year 2013 for 4 years BS Program on the instructions of Vice Chancellor, ZA Nizami in various engineering faculties like Computer Science, Electronics, Civil, Bio-Medical and Telecommunication. Aptitude tests will be started on November 18, 2012.

Students having 60 percent marks will be eligible for taking admission in all programs. Students interested in Bio-Medical Engineering should have passed physics, chemistry and biology. According to the registrar of SSUET, Shah Mahmood H Syed, admission will be granted on merit adding total weightage of marks obtained in Matriculation, FA, aptitude test and interview. The question asked in the aptitude test will be taken from English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Biology. Model test papers for the last five years have been arranged by the University for the convenience of the students.

He further added that University is the member of the association of Commonwealth Universities and International Association of Universities, UNESCO Paris and other leading UK and US universities, offers credit transfer facility. The university has already awarded scholarships and financial help to the deserving and needy students for above than Rs.50 millions.
