Punjab University was established in 1882 which was the first university established in sub-continent in Muslim majority area. It is a center of high standard of learning and students from all over the Asian countries come here for higher education.

Now admissions are offered in University of the Punjab in M.Sc. (Engg/Honors) MS/M.Phil /M.D & Ph.D programs.

Forms can be obtained from the respective Department / Centre / Institute / College and the last closing date for submission of application is 02-07-2012. The applications duly completed should be submitted to the office of the Department / Centre / Institute / College concerned at 12.07.2012. The Written Test/Interview will be conducted in the concerned Department / Centre / Institute / College (from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon ) afternoon ( 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m ) according to the schedule given below:

Eligibility Criteria:
For M.Sc (Engg / Honors)/ MS / M.Phil/ M.D.
i)	1st Division/CGPA ≥ 2.5 in M.A./M.Sc./ B.Sc (Hons.) 4 years, B.Sc. (Engineering) degree or its equivalent in the respective subject from a standard University (At least 16 years of education; 130 credit hours).

ii)	Only those candidates can apply who have qualified GRE (General) / NTS.

For Ph.D.

i)	M.Phil./ M.Sc. (Engineering) or equivalent degree with CGPA ≥ 3.0.

ii)	Candidates who qualified GRE (Subject) after acquisition of 18 years education are eligible to apply.

•	Eligibility criteria of different departments will be provided by Department / Institute / College / Centre before the admission.
•	HEC awardees under native scholarship scheme are buoyant to apply.
•	Candidates who are waiting for result of 8^th Semester BS / 4^th Semester M.A / M.Sc can apply and have to show result before interview. Otherwise, their forms will be rejected.
•	Approved application forms duly filled in and supported by the attested copies of educational certificates / degrees be submitted to the Chairman / Director / Principal of the respective Department / Institute / Centre / College by 12-07-2012.
•	Application will not be acceptable after due date.
