Agha Khan University Examination Board Scholarships 2016
For Pakistani students, AKU-EB is now offering the need and merit based scholarships. In order to support students for their completion of 2 years HSSC education, these scholarships have been offered by AKU-EB. These scholarships will be available to current students of AKU-EB affiliated schools/ classes in Karachi that are studying in 10th class.
Criteria of Selection: Merit and financial needs are the criteria on which the AKU-EB Bridge Scholarship will be awarded.
Duration of the Scholarships: Two years is the duration of the scholarship.
No of Scholarships: Total 15 scholarships will be awarded to those students who want to complete their HSSC education from a school/ college affiliated with AKU-EB.
Scholarship Benefits: The successful candidates will get following benefits:
Tuition fee of up to Rs. 3500 per month for school/ college
Rs. 2500 per year annual book allowance
During two academic years of HSSC, full AKU-EB examination fees
Subsistence cost including uniform, travel etc. are not included in the scholarship.
The applicant should have minimum 70% marks in SSC and he/ she must be a student of AKU-EB SSC part 2.
In SSC part 1 and 2 exams, the applicant must not have any failing grade while completion of HSSC from institute affiliated with AKU-EB is also necessary. There should be a genuine financial need along with the applicant must also show qualities of adaptability, leadership and social service.
The satisfactory examination performance in the HSSC part 1 is necessary for continuation of scholarship from 1st to 2nd year.
Application and Award Process
Complete application form with required documents written in the application forms must be submitted by the applicants.
Deadline and Notification:
The last date to apply is 16th June 2016 while the selected candidates will be contacted in August 2016.
