AIOU Date of Admission Extends Till July 20

Islamabad, the date for admission for MS/MPhil and PhD programs in Allama iqbal Open University been enhanced till July 20. According to the Admission Director of Allama Iqbal Open University, Syed Zia Ul Husnain, the decision for enhancement of date of admission has been made by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi to facilitate the students who are appearing in the scheduled test of NTS which will be done on Jul 8.
He told that admissions forms along with prospectuses are available at the sale point of main campus of University in Sector H-8, Islamabad, regional campuses and all coordinating offices throughout the country.
The Admission Director of AIOU said that admissions in PhD on the basis of MPhil are offered in subject of Urdu, Islamic Studies, Iqbal Studies, Chemistry, Physics and Pakistani Languages & Literature with specialization in Pushto, Balochi, Brahu, Sindhi, Saraiki or Punjabi languages while the admissions are offered in MPhil program in Mass Communication, Islamic Studies, Iqbal Studies, Chemistry and Arabic.
Admission in Chemistry program is offered in Islamabad only. The admission in Community Health and Nutrition are offered in MS. The qualification for applying in MPhil/MS program is MA/MSc second division and must have qualified in NTS GAT (General) Test while for PhD programs candidates should have MPhil first division / 3 GPA in the concerned subject and must have qualified in NTS GAT(subject) test.
The results of NTS GAT (General/subject) are valid for 2 years. Students who passed this test within this period but not get admission may also apply. Admissions for Autumn 2012 semester will also be offered from Matric to Master programs in Jul 2012.
