AIOU launches M.Sc programme in TV production

Two year face to face MSC program in TV Production has been started by Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). The aim of this program is to help the working journalists in their profession and also to advance the professional abilities of electronic media.

A public sector institute has launched this type of program at this level for the first time. Only Islamabad campus will host the classes. After the organization of entry test according to the criteria by HEC, 40 students will be enrolled initially. In case getting positive response, the classes will be extended to other cities. The prospectus will provide eligibility and other details about the admissions. From the sale points at main campus, coordinating offices and regional campuses around the country; admission forms and prospectus can be attained.

Apart from that, AIOU has also started admissions for of semester Spring 2015 for Matric to PhD level programs. It also includes Associate Degree in Commerce with the following 8 specializations: banking & finance, accounting & finance, hotel management, hospital management, IT management, HRM, Tourism management and marketing management. The university is also offering MPhil/MSC and PhD (mass communication) admissions.

Merit based admissions are available in: MS/MPhil, MSC Sociology, PhD, MSC/PGD Mass Communication, MSC/BS (microbiology, chemistry), MA/M.Ed special education, MSC (statistics, mathematics, physics, forestry extension), COL MBA/MPA, MA/PGD educational planning & management and MA/Diploma TEFL. It is necessary for the applicants of merit based programs to directly send admission forms to the concerned department according to the procedure given in the prospectus without late fee.

AIOU has already dispatched continuing admission forms to the students while students can also download forms from the official website of AIOU in case not receiving the forms in order to submit form and fee within due date in the designated bank.
