Awarded four Academicians by HEC

Islamabad, The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has awarded a Distinguished National Professor Award to four scholars on their extra ordinary performance.

The academicians, who were proficient in their performance in concerned fields, have granted this award. They played a vital role in getting higher the standard of research and academic position of the higher education in the country.

Selection committee of HEC in its annual meeting has selected four scholars out of 63 candidates for the year 2011. These are consists of Dr. Saqib Ali from Department of Chemistry, Quaid-i-Azam University, Prof. Dr. Saleem Asgher from Department of Mathematics, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Dr. M. Asif Khan, working as Director at the National Centre of Excellence in Geology University of Peshawar and Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, currently Dean, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. They were granted the title of HEC Distinguished National Professor for lifetime.
