British Council Conducts ‘O’ & ‘A’ Level Exams in Quetta

Quetta, The students of various private schools and their parents once again requested to the British Council to conduct the ‘O’ and ‘A’ level exams in Quetta and if British Council take no heed to their problems then they will be compelled to contact with the Supreme Court.

British Council announced some days before that they will conduct the annual exams of ‘O’ and ‘A’ level exams will not be conducted in Quetta and instead these exams will be conducted in Karachi. The students and their parents showed their reservations on the law and order situation prevailing in Karachi and they also cannot bear the expenses of staying there for a month for their exams as well as face the critical situation of Karachi. During this time, the general elections will also be conducted on May 08 or 9 and the parents of the children will be deprive of casting their valuable votes in the general elections.

They appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto action of this case and order the British Council to ensure the exams conducting in any safe area of Quetta. In the meantime, the leader of the PML-N female leader condemned the decision for conducting the annual exams in the disturbed city of Karachi and she also said that British Council should take security measure to conduct exams in Quetta.
