Candidates Passing Matric Exam Seek Admissions in Govt. Colleges

Lahore, Various boards of the province have declared the annual exams of Matric class for the year 2012. Lahore Board has also announced the Matric result 2012 and now students after passing matric exams are seeking admission in government colleges of the city. All government and private colleges have already offered admissions in their respective colleges. Colleges have also announced their merit lists which are hanging on their notice boards.

According to the Lahore board result, total 135,674 students have declared passed in the matriculation examination but there are only 15 government colleges for boys in Lahore city and girls have 31 government colleges which are more than twice to the boys colleges. About 20 to 25 thousands seats are available in these colleges in 1st year class.

There are some problems which a student has to face in getting admission. Various students getting good marks, obtain many prospectus from different colleges. They fill forms and submit admission forms in different colleges. All colleges have their own admission procedure. Some raise merit lists early and some late which cause into blocking of seats as students prefer good college to get admission and continue their studies.

Punjab government recently got agreed all educational boards to announce result of respective classes one day. Now Punjab Government can resolve this issue by adopting admission policy like announcing admission procedure at one day in whole colleges of the city, raising merit lists at one day and they also fix admission closing date on one day.
