Islamabad, the federal Directorate of Education has made plan to finish the evening classes from the schools located in Islamabad. The elimination of the classes from the schools will be done in four phases. According to the plan made by the FDE, the classes from 1 to 5 will be eliminated from all school from April 2013, the 6th and 7th classes will be eliminated from the Islamabad schools from April 2014 and in the final stage, the classes of 8th, 9th and 10th will be eliminated from all Islamabad schools from April 2015.

This plan was already approved by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani, but due to some misconceptions and the red tap policy the action on the elimination of second shift from all Islamabad schools was not done and it was delayed considerably.

The Ministry of Capital Administration and Development, the Minister Nazar Muhammad Gondal has said that the decision of elimination of classes will be done in four phases which will be decided in the function at local educational institution in late November or in the beginning of December.

All the students studying in the second or evening shifted will be transferred to the other schools or the schools of their own choice for the convenience of the students.
