Four New Courses Introduced In LCWU
Lahore, Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), Dr. Sabiha Mansoor has declared that LCWU is going to introduce four new courses and departments like Architecture, Administrative Sciences, Textile and Interior Design and Department of Chinese from this year. These new courses will start function with the admissions of Intermediate FA/FSc from 30 July 2012.
The university has decided to establish an intermediate college affiliated with the university to conduct studies and examinations of intermediate classes. Yasmin Ali has been appointed as first principal of Intermediate College for Women University.
The college will grant admission in Intermediate class in six different faculties like Pre-medical, Pre-Engineering, I.C.S, I.Com and General Science on open merit. The students interested in Fine Arts and English Literature will go through the entrance test. Seats for sports, disabled, Hafiza, FATA, foreign students and other provinces have been reserved.
Lahore College for Women University has been functioning since long for imparting quality of education to the women living in Lahore as well as other parts of the country. The quality of education being given in the University will help the women to get education and other skills and become useful citizen of the country and participate in the nation building. A considerable number of women who are the ex students of this prestigious university are working in various fields of life.
The faculty of the university is included with high education teachers. About eighty teachers possess PhD degree which they have got from well renowned universities of the world. In the presence of such talented and experienced faculties this university is expected to make progress by leaps and bounds.
