GCU starts training program for position holders

Government College University Lahore under the scholarship of its Quality Enhancement Cell has started two-day training of position-holders countrywide. Improving the skills of students in communication, questioning and collaboration is the purpose of organizing this training session. The position-holders will visit the European universities under the initiative of Chief Minister from 22nd June 2014. Vice Chancellor GCU Prof Dr Khaleeq-ur-Rahman presided over the inauguration ceremony while it was also addressed by Punjab Secretary Higher Education Abdullah Sumbal. HEC Secretary informed the candidates about the traditions and cultures of different European nations and history of Europe.
On this occasion, GCU VC Prof Rahman said that this year toppers across the country will visit leading universities of UK, Sweden and Germany and will also meet famous scientists and scholars of the world. He praised CM’s efforts to improve standards of education. There is inclusion of over 19 universities in this tour including Cambridge, Oxford and the University of Manchester.
The position holders were informed about European universities by GCU Quality Enhancement Cell Iram Sohail while Asst. Prof. English Department Sadiq Awan, DG Protocol Asjad Ghani, Dr Zafar Iqbal and others also addresses on that occasion.
