Government of Punjab Starts Internship Scheme

Rawalpindi, the government of Punjab is going to start an intern =ship scheme basing merit for students who are getting education in graduation and post-graduation. These students will be awarded with Rs.10,000 per month throughout their internship period, said Malik Shakil Awan, MNA, PML-N.
He added that the Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif after successfully launching the laptop scheme, has now determination for boosting the students of bachelor and master degree through an internship scheme. The Punjab government will support the students financially in government colleges with Rs.10,000/- per month to every internee for the whole internship period.
He further added that the Chief Minister of Punjab will declare the internship scheme on July 2 for 100,000 students all over the province. He said that this internship scheme is a type of contract employment in schools and colleges. The students showing excellent performance during the period of their internship will be adjusted in schools and colleges whenever any type of vacancy of teacher falls vacant in the respective academic institution.
As soon as the Chief Minister announces this internship scheme then this scheme will be started with immediate effect.
