Govt wants to implement 16 years education mandatory for CSS exams

Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ch Ahsan Iqbal said his government is going to take step to make 16 years of education mandatory for the candidates, who want to appear in the CSS exams from 2017.  The government is enhancing the educational requirements for the students so they can become professional and know the structure of the civil services.

As far as the age of the candidates is concerned, he further added that the age limit of the candidates for the CSS exams will also be enhanced for 2 years. He talked to media and said that Planning Commission has organized the 2nd Pakistan Governance Forum with the cooperation of United Nation Development Program. He further added that exchange program is going to be started for capacity building of civil retainers and the governance structure of state will also be changed. He said that government has improved its governance and now the law and order situation in the country and the energy and economic gauges have been improved in 2015 if it is compared with the year 2013.

On the suggestion of the Civil Service Reform group, the preference is given to integrity, vision, performance, competence, team construction, leadership, and public service. It is also suggested that recompense is appropriate with level of responsibility and the selection should be done on the post for fixed contract.
