HEC Best University Teacher Awards
Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) has directed the universities and degree awarding institutes to submit their nominations for the ‘Best University Teacher Award 2016’ by 31st August 2017.
This is an annual practice by HEC in which nominations for best teacher award are invited from universities and degree awarding institutes from all around the country while two nominations are send by every institute.
An official of HEC told that best teachers are given a certificate and Rs. 1 lakh under this program in order to encourage them to work harder. This program also sheds light on the presence of better facilities and quality of research in the institutes. This project is beneficiary for both teachers and also institutes. This will also encourage others to do some effort and work well in the future.
The selection committee to suggest the name of best teachers will be headed by the VC of the concerned university and its members will be director quality enhancement cell, registrar, dean of the related faculty, head of department of the related faculty and Director office of research, innovation & commercialization (ORIC).
The name of two best teachers with all the required documents will be send by the selection committee.
