Islamabad, Higher Education Commission is responsible to manage the higher education in the country in the government and private sector universities and higher learning institutes. Now HEC decided to introduce some new programs for the faculty development of the universities located in the government sector. The higher education commission included the training and the overseas scholarships to the students for different fellowship programs.
HEC has already spent Rs 24 billion on the completely launched ‘Faculty Development Program’ this year and this program targeted the financial support to the present faculty members of the universities so that they can complete their PhD degrees. The commission will also start two months master trainers faculty professional development program and the national research program for the universities along with other development programs. The commission has already started the advanced varsity governance programs to manage the higher education institutes with the modern governance skills.
