HEC Rewards 6,636 Scholarships During Last Five Years

Higher Education Commission is responsible to grant higher education to the students in the HEC recognized university and higher learning institutes. HEC also grants scholarships to the students on the need base in the domestic and international universities. HEC has granted 2528 scholarships for the foreign universities and 4108 scholarships for the national universities during last 5 years.

HEC also granted the financial aid to the 8178 students under their need based programs during the last 5 years and in Punjab, about 1432 foreign scholarships were granted to the students in which 238 female students. In Sindh, about 304 students were granted the scholarships in which 68 students were female. Ion Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, total 482 students were granted the scholarships in which 43 female scholars. In Baluchistan province, total 75 scholarships were granted to the students in which 13 were the female scholars.

There were total 116 scholarships, which were granted to the students of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in which 25 students were the female. Total 39 scholarships were granted to the students of FATA and 79 scholarships were granted to the students of Islamabad and 17 scholarships were awarded to the female scholars from Islamabad. Total 10 scholarships were granted to the students of Gilgit Baltistan.
