IBAT College Swords (sometimes called IBaT College or the Institute of Business and Technology) is an Irish business school based in the town of Swords, in Fingal in the north of Dublin, founded in 2004. It also has an “international office” in Selangor, Malaysia.^[1] The college provides courses in business, accountancy, information technology and law. IBAT College offers full and part time courses at skills, degree and masters level. ^[2]

IBAT College courses have external recognition and approval by various Irish awarding bodies of HETAC, FETAC, ACCA, ICM (Institute of Commercial Management), ATI (Accounting Tehcnicians Ireland), ICS (Irish Computer Society), and ECDL; and is also an ACCA computer based examination(CBE) center and an approved Project Management Institute course provider.IBaT is recognised by the ACCA as a Gold Status Tuition provider.

IBAT College is located in the town of Swords in north Dublin. It has nine lecture halls, two computer labs, coffee dock, library and internet hub. The courses in IBAT include Business & Management, Accountancy & Finance, Legal Studies, Computing and IT and Therapeutic Courses. It offers scholarships. There are three scholarship programmes available at IBaT: ‘Fingal Dublin Undegraduate Scholarship’, sponsored by Fingal Dublin Chambers; ‘EU Student Scholarship’, sponsored by IBaT College Academic Board; and ‘Non-EU Student Scholarship’, sponsored by IBaT College Academic Board.

IBAT College is a FETAC, HETAC, ATI, ACCA, ICS and ICM approved college. IBAT College is HETAC approved to deliver business programmes up to Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications. IBAT College Swords was awarded the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ (ACCA) gold quality standard.
