Islamia University of Bahawalpur offers PhD Scholarships 2016

Islamia University of Bahawalpur has invited applications from the citizens of Pakistan and AJK for scholarships in 4 split PhD programs under PSDP project funded by HEC. These scholarships will be provided in the following disciplines:

Selected subjects: Civil Engineering and Computer System Engineering

Duration of the scholarships: Under MOU of a local study with some university, the duration will be 3 years local study and 1 year foreign study. In the department of above subjects, the candidates will be offered teaching position.

Eligibility criteria:

During the entire academic career, the applicant must have minimum 50% marks and should have secured 1^st division in the last exam of 16 year education which he has completed from an institute recognized by HEC.

Candidates should have passed international GRE or have minimum 50% marks in NTS-GAT (general-subject). The candidates can also register themselves for NTS-GAT (General) test that will be held on 3^rd April 2016.

35 years is the maximum age limit for this scholarship while maximum age for regular employees of DAIs, R&D institution and Public Sector Universities is 40 years.

The candidates have to register themselves from a local university of Pakistan to attain this split PhD scholarship.

Those candidates will be given preference for this scholarship who have already taken admission in PhD program in the specific discipline in any university recognized by HEC.

Those candidates are not eligible who are already availing any scholarship.

Selection:

According to HEC criteria, the scholarship will be given on the basis of merit.

During the study period, the successful candidates will not be given any salary.

The selected candidates are required to fill a bond that they will serve in IUB for five years after completion of their studies or otherwise will refund all the amount of scholarship to the university.

Before the final selection, the candidates have the right to cancel or postpone the scholarship without giving any reason at any time.

The university will not accept late or incomplete application.

Application procedure:The candidates can take application forms from IUB and can also download application form from the official site of IUB.

Candidates have to submit their application forms in IUB till 20^th April 2016 along following documents: Attested copies of CNIC, domicile, educational document and four latest photographs.

Attested copies of result card of NTS-GAT international GRE.

For application processing fee, original deposit slip of challan/ bank draft of Rs. 1000.
