First Regional Forum for Quran Faculties being held under the auspices of Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (IESCO) commenced today at Islamic International University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The four day event will continue upto 15th December 2011, participated by renowned scholars of the Holy Quran form Asia.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in his exclusive message to the organizers of the forum has said that the faculties of Quran will be able to impart the teachings of the Holy Quran in a better and improved way through this forum. This factor will play a major role in the propagation of the universal message of Islam around the world. He said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been contributing a lot for providing facilities for teaching and learning of the Holy Quran to the youth of the area in accordance with the contemporary needs. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is one of the top most universities of Pakistan in the public sector and this institution possesses special significance in Southern Punjab. He further said that in this regard the Saudi Ambassador His Excellency Abdul Aziz bin Ibrahim Al Ghadeer, Director General Maktab Dawah Al Sheikh Muhammad Saad Al Doosri and Director General Rabita Alam Islami Sheikh Abdahu bin Ibrahim Ateen have enabled IUB for the development of Modern Islamic Center. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, VC, IUB has nominated Dean Faculty of Islamic Learning, Prof. Dr. Saleem Tariq Khan to represent IUB in the forum, who has proceeded to Kuala Lumpur.
