Quality Enhancement Cell, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur on direction of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar conducted two days Capacity Building Workshop on “Usage of Turnitin (Plagiarism Detection Software)” with collaboration of Quality Assurance Agency, Higher Education Commission of Paksitan. The purpose of the workshop was to enhance capacity building of the young faculty members to write research papers/articles and the usage of plagiarism detection software. In the first session, resource person Dr. Faiz -ul- Hassan Nasim, Chairman, Department of Biotechnology & Biochemistry briefed the participants about the research ethics, plagiarism and its types. During the second session, Mr. Muneer Ahmed, Deputy Director Quality Assurance Agency, HEC assisted the participants through video conference regarding usage of the software. Sixty faculty members from various departments of IUB participated in this workshop. HEC Plagiarism Policy handbook was also distributed among the participants.
