IUB Starts Program for Cotton Research

Bahawalpur, Cotton is the main cash crop of our country which has been cultivated on vast area and has been exported to other countries since long in order to get handsome amount. Struggles have already been taken from time to time to enhance the production of cotton and protect the this crop from germs.
Now Vice Chancellor of Islamia University Bahawalpur Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar held a meeting with the delegation consisting of various former provincial minister and members and other personalities of the area on the enhancement of the cotton crop. Necessary funds have been allocated for the project.
The delegation has also been introduced the new varieties of cotton by the Director Cotton Breeding Project of Islamia University Bahawalpur. These new varieties have the potential of face severe climatic conditions and virus efficiently and it could be germinate within two months.
