Karachi University starts PhD program 2015

In the University of Karachi’s Faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences, consist of 3 departments, the MPhil and PhD program could only be started in one department of Public Administration while the MPhil and PhD program could not be started in two programs namely Commerce and Business Administration. According to sources, Dr. Tahir Ali and Dr. Danish Siddiqui are the Chairmen of department of Commerce and Business Administration respectively and they are taking no interest in starting MPhil and PhD programs in their departments and want to remain the situation as it is in order to remain at the position of Chairman for longer duration.
On the other hand, the programs of MPhil and PhD have been started in Mathematics Department due to pressure from VC Karachi University Dr. Qaiser but VC is quite about starting of MPhil and PhD in these two important departments of Commerce and Business Administration.
Dr. Khalid Iraqi, Dean of faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences, told that heads of these two departments didn’t communicated him for starting MPhil and PhD programs otherwise they would be helped. Dr. Shakeel, head of MPhil and PhD program of KU told that the heads of the departments of Commerce and Business Administration have no interest in starting the programs of MPhil and PhD in these two departments.
