KU MS, MD, MPhil and PhD admissions 2014

For the session 2014, University of Karachi has announced MPhil, MPhil leading to PhD, PhD, MS and MD admissions. For those candidates interested in taking admissions in post-graduate degree programs, applications are invited.

The admissions are opened for Faculty of Arts in Economics, Arabic, English Literature, English Linguistics, International Relations, General History, Mass Communication, Islamic History, Philosophy, Persian, Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, Sindhi, Urdu and Social Work. Faculty of Science offered in Applied Chemistry, Agriculture & Agribusiness, Botany Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Chemistry, Genetics, Food Science & Technology, Geology, Geography, Physics, Microbiology, Zoology, Physiology and Statistics.

The criteria for MPhil admission is at least sixteen years of education (MSC, MA, MPA, MBA, MIS, MAS, BS, M.Com, Pharm D, B.Pharm, BDS, MBBS, BE and DVM) or equivalent with minimum 2^nd division from HEC recognized university. Candidats with BDS, MBBS, B.Pharm, DVM or equivalent qualification will have to complete 15 credit hour courses prior to 24-credit hour MBBS.

Criteria for MS and MD admission: MBBS, BDS or equivalent qualification from HEC-recognized University along with 1 year House Job with PMDC registration.

For PhD: M.Pharm, MS, LLM (for faculty of law), M.Phil or its equivalent qualification in relevant field from HEC-recognized University.

Application forms and prospectus can be downloaded from KU official website. Complete admission form along with necessary documents and processing fee of Rs. 2500 in favor of University of Karachi can be submitted from 28^th May to 9^th June 2014 in respective departments. For MS/MD and PhD (Law), the applicants are required to submit Rs. 6000 processing fee. Late and incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The list of eligible candidates for KU Entrance Test will be displayed on 14^th June 2014 at Karachi University website while Admit Cards can be collected from 16^th to 10^th June 2014 from relevant departments. Entrance Test will be held on 22^nd June at 10am.
