Medical & Engineering Entry test Preparation Tips and Guide

Students after passing their exams, want to get admission in their respective fields like medical or engineering. So they have to make preparations for appearing in the entry tests like MCAT and ECAT. Most of the well renowned colleges and universities announce their admission processes and students apply for their admissions. The interested students submit admission forms in different colleges and universities and if they eligible and come up to their merit, then they will be given admission in their colleges and universities. Some of the institutions announced different short courses to help the students for making the preparation of these tests. There are two tests which are commonly known in the country which are designed for the students to get admission in the colleges and universities. MCAT is designed for the students who seek admission in medical colleges and universities and on the other side ECAT is designed for the students who want to get admission in the Engineering colleges and universities. University of Health is responsible for conducting the MCAT test for the medical students and University of Engineering and Technology is designed ECAT test for the students who want to get admission in the Engineering colleges and universities.

The students who want to get admission in these medical and engineering colleges and universities and they want to get training of these courses then they should concentrate on some points. Entry test is compulsory for all private and government institutions to grant the admission to the students who qualify in these tests. After the result of these tests, the concerned institutions make the merit list of the qualified students for the admission.

Entry test Preparation Tips:

  • The students should have fast and deep sleep so there is no pressure on their minds.
  • Take your breakfast as usual and do not take tension on their mind.
  • In the tests, you should follow the instructions given in the entry test.
  • You should concentrate on the test and do not see here and there.
  • First read your question paper carefully and if possible read it twice.
  • Do not look at other students or the examiners.
  • Read all questions carefully and then start giving answers carefully.
  • If there is any problem in concentration in the beginning, then you should not loose heart and after some time you will come in the rhythm.
  • Give the answers of the questions which you know. Then come to the difficult questions.
  • Solve the question paper till the end of the time and do not try to leave the paper before time. After solving all the questions then you should check the answers of all questions once again as there may be any mistake.

The entry test designed for MCAT consists of MCQs of the subjects with the number of questions like Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Physics 30, Mathematics 20 and in the ECAT the questions are selected as Mathematics 25, Physics 25, Chemistry 25, English 25 and 25 MCQs are selected from the General (Islamic and Pak Studies).
