New syllabus for grade 3 to 10 students in Punjab

From grade 3 to matric students, the ministry of education is going to introduce new syllabi. For grade 3 to 10 students, almost 36 books are being changed under this decision. According to the demands of present time, the new books will be updated. English and Urdu medium curriculum will also be introduced from next academic session. The changes are being made in the science and English books of class 3; Maths, Urdu, Islamiat, English books of class 4; Islamiat, Maths, Urdu, S. Studies, English of class 5; Draft, Art, Agriculture, H Economics, Persian of class 6; Maths, Agriculture, Science, H Economics, English, S Studies, Islamiat of class 7; S Studies, Urdu, English, Science, Islamiyat, Maths, Arabic, Agriculture, H Economics and Persian of class 8; and G Science, Geopraphic Studies and Civics will be changed for 9th class students. For next academic session, the decision to exclude English medium has been postponed.
Meanwhile, the president, vice-president and other members of Punjab Teachers Association has criticize this decision as these changes will affect poor children, according to them.
Moreover, all the nine boards of Punjab will held the matric annual exams 2014 from 1st march 2014.
