Political conditions of the United Kingdom

Since 1997, the labor government that was in power firstly under the supervision of Prime Minister Tony Blair and then after Tony Gordon Brown has already lost its majority in the House of Commons in the election that was held in the month of May and the year was 2010. In the commons it was the first time to lose their majority since 1974 but on the other hand no other party was also be to win full majority in the Commons. When it was clear that the labor cannot make any government on May 11 then the Prime Minister Gordon Brown gave resign and then David Cameron became the new Prime Minister of the UK.

 

With the liberal democrats the Prime Minister David Cameron announced formal Coalition to support for the Conservative Led government and was in exchange with Liberal Democrat Seats which were five in number and also for policy compromises. On the seat of the Deputy prime Minister the Liberal democrat leader Nick Clegg became the Deputy Prime Minister. In the House of the Commons the Liberal democrat Coalition now has majority of 78 seats and the opposition was Labor Party.
