Prime Minister Accorded Approval of Scholarships for Needy Students

Islamabad, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has announced that their government will increase the number of scholarship for the intelligent and needy students so that they can get quality of education in different universities in the country. He announced this policy of their government on Thursday here in Islamabad.
While addressing the 23rd board meeting of the National Information and Communication Technology Research and Development Fund, he made it clear that the scholarships assigned for the students to less privileged areas including FATA, Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan. The intelligent and talented students belonging to these areas should have the opportunity to get higher education in the well reputed universities of Pakistan so that they can serve not only their country but also work for the development and prosperity of their region and spread the light of education in their own area. He further added that the NICT&R Awards programs requires the support of research scholars, academicians, professionals and other organizations to carry out their research activities.
