PU to organize Pakistan’s largest 3-day book fair on April 7th

From 7th April 2016 at 10 am, the 3-day book fair, organized by Punjab University, will start at the New Campus of PU.

At the main corridor of Institute of Education and Research, more than 150 stalls will be established in this book fair. This book fair is one of the largest in the country that was initially scheduled to be organized by the university from 20th to 22nd March 2016 this year.

Haseeb Ahmed Paracha, Chief Librarian of PU, told in a statement that teachers, students and general public will be provided books, gadgets and other products at affordable and discounted rates at the stalls established by famous booksellers, publishers and IT firms.

He told that resources of this book fair will be utilized for progress of such fairs in order to promote the healthy habit of book reading in this advance internet age.

In this book fair, the university has given invitation to all the interested famous IT organizations, editors and booksellers to participate. These organizations can submit their application forms university’s main library or at Dean Office of Oriental College (Old Campus) from 14th March to 21st March 2016 along with Rs. 20,000 booking fee. University will accept limited numbers of applications for establishing book stalls in this book fair.
