Punjab BISEs Raises Exam Fee

Rawalpindi, Due to paucity of funds and financial constraints, the boards of intermediate and secondary education of Punjab province have decided to raise the fees of exams and other miscellaneous charges of matriculation and intermediate Part I & II.

The decision will be implemented from the new education year.

The admission and exams fee of the students studying in the government educational institutions has been sent by the Punjab government two years before and make necessary issuance of annual grants to the boards to compensate the insufficiency. But all the education boards of the Punjab including BISE Rawalpindi have not been paid the annual grants by the government.

On the contrary, the Punjab government has given a proposal to cut short their expenses from which they collected Rs.320 million from all educational boards and payment has been made to all educational boards to avoid financial crisis. According to the sources, all the educational board have been facing problems in making payment of the salaries to the staff thus this decision have been taken to increase exam, admission and other miscellaneous charges.

all the educational boards have the mandate of conducting of matriculation and intermediate examination in order to carry out educational activities in their affiliated schools and colleges. Colleges and Universities have the responsibilities of managing education at graduation, master and PhD level.

In Punjab, there are totally eight educational boards which are functioning like Lahore Board, Federal Board, Rawalpindi Board, Dera Ghazi Khan Board, Multan Board, Gujranwala Board, Bahawalpur Board, Faisalabad Board, and Sargodha Board. For technical education Punjab Board of Technical Education is mandatory body.
