Punjab Boards extends Matric/FA Annual Exams 2015 dates

Lahore, Ministry of Education, Punjab and all other educational boards of Punjab have decided to defer the annual exams of all classes including primary, middle, matric and intermediate classes. Punjab government has made this decision keeping in view the alarming condition of the city and there is consistent danger in the educational institutes.

It is hoped that the formal decision will be announced in the second week of January. Punjab Examination Commission was going to start the annual exams of 5th and 8th classes from 4th February and these exams will be conducted during the last week of February. Similarly, the annual exams of Matric class were going to be started from 02 March. Now the date of the start of the SSC class exams is enhanced to two weeks, which will be started in the second or third week of March. The annual exams of intermediate classes are also enhanced to two more weeks ensuring the security situation improved in the educational institutes across Punjab.

The meeting of the chairmen of all educational boards including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan and Sahiwal will be conducted next week in which this formal decision will be made for conducting the annual exams of matric and FA/FSc classes.
