Punjab Government Introduces e-education in Govt Primary Schools

Lahore, Punjab government is going to launch e-education programs in all government primary schools of the province. The government will also provide computer education to the students of lower level with the objective to make them familiar with the latest information technology and lessen the burden of curriculum books which is a burden on the students.

Punjab Education Minister, Mian Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman has said that the summary for provision of e-education in all primary schools has been sent to the Punjab Chief Minister for its approval and implementation of the project. He further added that Punjab government has taken various steps in the field of education and launched various projects to provide facilities to the student to carry on their higher education and encourage the students who attained top position in board and university examination.

He further said that about 8749 government schools were deprived of the basic facilities for which Rs.19 billion spent on them to provide them such facilities during last four years. The government has reserved Rs.5 billion to provide facilities to 2000 schools during this financial year. The government will provide education to the girl students living in far off areas of the province for which the government has reserved one billion rupees. Rs. 10 billion with be provided to the students in Endowment fund which will be used to provide education of high level and encourage the students who get top positions in their board and university exams. The government will also set up more 8 Daanish schools in the province to encourage quality of education in the province.
