Qazi enthralled by best friend exhibition held at UoP

“I thought it would be a few stalls lying at a side of the PUTA hall while planning to visit this book fair but the number of stalls, collection of books and most importantly the participation of visitors especially the youth has made my day as Higher Education Minister of this Province“, said Qazi Muhammd Asad while addressing a ceremony at the three days book fair exhibition arranged by Study Aid Foundation and Excellence at University of Peshawar.

The Minster said, book is the real best friend and his ministry is trying to promote reading habits among youth so that they can be able to meet the challenges of the world through their competence and abilities.

He said that his government has announced special incentives for the college teachers in order to increase their contributions in quality research journals by giving them fifty to one lac rupees per contribution in impact factor journals. He appreciated the efforts of study aid foundation and excellence for arranging the event and urged them to organize such events in colleges and divisional head quarters as well.

Representative member of SAFE later presented books to the Minister, Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Azmat Hayat Khan and other guests.

The three days book exhibition would end on Thursday January 12.
