Scholarships Awards 147 KP students by US

Peshawar, 147 students belong to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has been awarded with scholarships by the United States (US) during a special ceremony on Monday.

The program started by the US government which was included such type of scholarship also in order to assist new and practicing teachers to receive training experience of high quality by a four year Bachelor’s degree (B Ed) and two year Associate degree in Education (ADE).

Project Management Specialist of USAID, Fazal Rabbi told that Pakistan and the US have been working with each other since long and both countries assist each other in ultimate coordination over last 60 years. The objective of the scholarship program is that the US government elaborated its assurance for a long time to extend its help to make Pakistan a stronger and prosperous country.

The US Agency for International Development is committed to spend $75 million for the period of five years for Teacher Education Project through Government of Pakistan to make programs to improve, roll out and implement the B.Ed and AED degree programs which have been declared some time ago.

To implement the degree programs efficiently, US is collaborating with the provincial governments for creating systems, policies and standards.
