Special Students Shine in Federal Board Matric Result 2012
Islamabad, Special children have shown excellent and outstanding performance in the annual examination of secondary school certificate 2012 which are held by Federal Board of Intermediate of Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad.
About 24 students including 13 boys and 11 girls of National Special Education Center for Hearing Impaired Children, H-9, Islamabad, appeared in the exams and all of them declared successful in the exams. Sana Ashraf secured first position with marks 852, Sehar Rubab got second position with 787 marks, and Maryam Rafique stood third with marks 780.
About 11 students of National Special Education Centre for Visually Impaired Children appeared in the exams and the results of the centre remained 99 percent. Amna Azhar obtained 841 marks and cinched first position. Muhammad Fareed Ul Hassan got second position with marks 773 and Tahira Kausar stood third with marks 765.
Nine students of the Special Education Centre for Physically Handicapped Children appeared in the exams and 89 percent of them passed the exam. Kamran Khan got 683 marks and stood in the center.
Director General Special Education & Social Welfare Syed Mustafain Kazmi paid rich tributes to the students on competing with normal students of other schools and gave unprecedented results in the matriculation examination, conducted by FBISE Islamabad for the academic year 2011-12.
He congratulated the principal and staff of National Special Education Center and appreciated their efforts put in the preparation of the children for the examination. He further added that with the strenuous working and strong commitment, courage and desire of the students, they become the useful and productive segment of the society although they have certain kind of disability. Their results indicate that their disability does not create hindrance to work with their potential and intellectual capabilities.
