Student of Architecture of KU selected for “Reafique Azam Travelling Scholarship 2012’

Karachi, Atelier Pakistan gave away “Rafique Azam Traveling Scholarship 2012” to a third year Architecture student, Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala of Department of Visual Studies, Karachi University who has been nominated for it.

Karachi University informed on Monday that the students of the four institutions of higher learning of Karachi including University of Karachi, NED University, Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, and Dawood University presented degrees in architecture and now universities were asked to present their portfolios.

Three students including Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala, a third year Architecture student of Department of Visual Studies of Karachi University were selected. They were demanded to express about their portfolios briefly at the Atelier event at T2F where Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala was awarded with scholarship which was launch by the award winning Bangladeshi architect, Rafique Azam.

The scholarship which offers the return tariff from Karachi to Dhaka, along with all staying and accommodation expenditures for the duration of the stay in Bangladesh, allows one student to visit Bangladesh for one week and intern at Rafique Azam’s office in June 2012.
