Students of PU Grabbed Positions in Engineering Olympaid 2012

Lahore, Students of Electrical Engineering Department Punjab University has shown tremendous performance in Engineering Olympiad 2012 and earned 10 positions in several competitions. The event was organized by University of Central Punjab (UCP). In technical paper contest, first position was taken by the team “FUZZ” comprising of Syed Omer Saleh, Faiqa Rafiq and Syed Hassan Gillani. The second position earned by “Team A” comprising of Muhammad Zeeshan, Aleem Farooq, Maaz Tahir and Marzooq Ahmad. The third position in this category was got by the team “PIONEER” comprising of Muhammad Azeem Javed, Mah Zaib Jamil, Abdul Basit and Rida Jamil.

In speed programming competition, the first position was taken by “PUCIT” team comprising of Dawood and Waqas. In speed wiring contest, first position was taken by team “PIONEER” comprising of Muhammd Azeem Javed and Mah Zaib Jamil, while the second position was won by the team “OUTMAX” comprising of Abdul Basit and Syed Hassan Gillani.

In “MATLAB” programming contest, the second position was taken by the team “RAZA GROUP” comprising of Ali Raza and Hafiz Hassan Raza while third position was won by Asim Abbas and Arslan Ahmad. In Techlamation contest, the second position was won by Imran Saeed Lodhi and Abdul Basit while third position in this competition was got by Osama Butt and Ozair Ahmad.

In this competition, Assistant Prof Umer Farooq organized the students. Vice-Chancellor of PU Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has appreciated the students, administrator and College Principal Prof Dr Rafiq Ahmad on this great achievement. PU VC has also advised the students to work hard to achieve more successes for the university.
