Using Alternate Formats

  1. Test takers with low vision can use a software screen magnification system with the TOEFL test. To practice, you may apply your own screen magnifier software to TOEFL iBT Sample Questions. Please note that the magnification system used with the actual test may be different from the software you customarily use. Learn more about the screen magnification system used with the actual test. Test takers may also use the large print version (in 18-point Verdana font) of the TOEFL iBT Sample Questions for practice.
  2. If you are a deaf or hard of hearing individual, you may take a TOEFL iBT test in which the listening portions of the Writing and the Speaking sections have been replaced with written scripts. You may practice for this test by using the TOEFL iBT Sample Questions, which contain scripts of the listening portions. Omit the Listening section and use the scripts to prepare for the test.
  3. If you require the assistance of a reader, practice by asking a native English speaker to assist you as a reader.
