University of Sheffield, UK offers Masters Scholarships for Pakistani students 2016
For the current year 2016, University of Sheffield UK is offering Masters Scholarships with collaboration of Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust.
No of scholarships: Total 12 scholarships will be awarded.
Duration of the Scholarships: Total 3 years.
Eligible groups: For several courses offered by the university, students from developing countries are the main target of these scholarships.
Course Level: These scholarships are available for master degree level programs.
Study Subject: Scholarships can be taken for several courses affiliated with Sheffield Institute for International Development.
List of subjects: MA in International Relations, MSC in International Social Change & Policy, MA in Global Justice, MA in International Development, MA in Globalization & Development, MPH in International Development, MA Cities & Global Development and MSC in Environmental Change & International Development.
Scholarship benefits: Full tuition fee and maintenance are included in each scholarship. A monthly stipend and university housing will also be provided by the university.

Eligibility Criteria: Following criteria must be met by the candidates for eligibility.
Applicants must study full time in 2016 in the University of Sheffield.
For tuition fee, there must be overseas classification for the applicants.
Applicants can’t receive scholarship through government, a research council, charity, private enterprise etc. as it is a self-funded scholarship.
Full time should be their mode of attendance.
The scholarship can’t be delayed after start of studies in university by the student.
Entrance Requirements: An offer for definite master course must be received by the applicant.
English language Requirements: Evidence of English proficiency must be provided by the candidates with 6.5 or above. CPE and CAE 176 each, TOEFL internet-based test 88 or above and Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) 61 or above.

Students are required to provide reason to support scholarship with personal statement of minimum 300 words in which they must provide experience and education related to the course.
For postgraduate research applicants, Details about research area to be pursued by the applicant must be mentioned like medicine, science and engineering. There should be 500-1000 words in this proposal. It should include:
Title of suggested thesis
The major goal of their research
Any available and required resource
Links to any hypothesis or any previous work
A plan and timetable of work along with the methods of proposed research (e.g. case studies, suvey).
