AIOU Allocates Rs15 Million for Scholarships for Deserving Students

Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad is the leading and well-known university, which has started the distant learning to the students. AIOU has reserved Rs.15 million for the deserving students, who want to get further education. The university reserves this amount for the students in order to improve education and maximize the number of students to come to the educational network of the university.

The VC of the University addressed with the congregation in the conference of the Regional Directors and said that this scholarship will be granted to the deserving students under 9 schemes and they will help the students in accommodating more students to get education and these scholarships are meant for the deserving and poor students.

He also said that this scholarship is provided for 44 ones of the university and they will try to get the advantage of this scholarship fund. The students, who are affected by the recent earthquake, they will get the benefit of this scholarship scheme.

In the conference of the Regional Directors, it has organized to make the comprehensive plan for the set of the local campus and make them strong enough to provide quality education and also provide the best services to its 1.3 million students. At the inauguration of the conference, the VC Dr Shahid Siddiqui said that regional offices will be supported to carry out their financial activities and they can use the human resources in getting their targets, which can help them in maximizing the education standard and make strong the support system of the students.
