Army Medical College has announced the complete schedule for the admission in the college. According to the schedule and the criteria for the admission in the college, the admission in the college will be carried out through Army Selection Centers. The entry test will be carried out by the college after fulfilling the military procedures before enlisting candidates in the Pak Army. Army Medical College offers admissions in MBBS and BDS disciplines, which will be finalized by the General Headquarters of Army.

Admission Schedule:

Army Medical College invites applications from eligible candidates for grant of admissions in to MBBS and BDS courses during September/October. Army Medical College is affiliated with National University of Sciences and Technology. Army Medical College will announce complete schedule for grant of admission in the medical college.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates, who have completed their FSc (Pre-Medical) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of the country or equivalent education (Overseas High School Certificate/British General Certificate of Education (Advanced level)/International Baccalaureate) with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as approved by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, will be eligible for grant of admission in the Army Medical College. The candidates must have 60% or more marks in each Matric and FSc and the age limit is 17 to 25 years. the female candidates should also apply for grant of admission against their quote in the college.

Admission test:

The candidates should approach to the NUST for prospectus and admission forms. The candidates will be intimated through newspapers and media about the entry test conducted by the college. The admission entry test will be carried in all major cities of the country. The result of the successful candidates in the entry test will be intimated to the students through press. The passing candidates will be issued call letters for their medical, intelligence and interview and the final selection will be done after their success in all the exams.

Entry Test Merit:

The admission entry test comprises of the subjects with their marks as Physics and English carry 15% marks each, Chemistry carries 30% marks and Biology carries 40% marks.

Medical College Fee:

The tuition fee and other allied charges of the college are varied from time to time and base on the requirements of the college. However, the fee schedule is as under:

Tuition Fee

NUST Cadets             -           Rs.13,000 pm

Paying Cadets             -           Rs,3.000 pm

Foreign Cadets            -           Rs.10,000

Accommodation Fee

All Paying Cadets       -           Rs.3,000 pm

Undergraduate Courses:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery BDS

Postgraduate Programs:

Army Medical College also offers various courses at postgraduate level, which are:

  • Mphill Physiology
  • Mphill Hematology
  • Mphill Anatomy
  • Mphill Pharmacology
  • Mphill Chemical Pathology
  • Mphill Molecular Medicine
  • Mphill Community Medicine
  • Mphill Microbiology
  • Mphill Science of Dental Medicine

The candidates, who will be declared successful in the written entry test, will be called for their medical examination. The medical examinations of the candidates will be carried out by the Military Hospital at the big and nearest cities of their residence. The entry test of the candidates will be prepared as MCQ base according to the syllabus of the FSc in the subjects including Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English being held in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Multan and Quetta under the arrangements of the NUST.

The Intelligence, Personality tests and interview of the successful and short listed candidates will be held by the General Headquarters Selection Board at Rawalpindi. The candidates, who will show the good performance in overall, will be selected for admission in the college. The finally selected candidates will have to sign the bond to serve the Army for about 13 years and this period will be started after completion of their MBBS and BDS degree. The candidates will have to go the PMA Kakul for basic military training there for about 22 weeks after completion of their MBBS and BDS degree courses. When their 22 weeks basic military training is completed then the successful candidates of Army Medical College will be given the rank of Captain as permanent regular commission in the Army in AMC or ADC.
