Canadian additional compulsory type fees are on the rise:

Actually the bundle of services that were included in the additional compulsory fees always varies from one institution to other institutions and can be changed with the passage of time. Usually it includes fees that are paid for the athletics, student associations, student health services and also many other fees structures that are paid to all those Canadian students that are on full time study programs.

All the compulsory fees that includes dental plan fees and health plan fees in which students was having the authority to not choose when they have the proof of the comparable coverage which is usually not included in most of the calculation of the weighted average for all type of compulsory fees.

There was an increase in the undergraduate Canadian students was seen which has an increase rate of 0.9% in the session of 2010/2011 as compared to the previous year’s compulsory fees.

The Alberta showed the largest increase in most types of additional compulsory fees for al the undergraduate and graduate students. The increase for graduate students was CAN $168 or 24.5 % and the increase for undergraduate students was CAN $185 or 28.9%. With the increased rates in Alberta the fees was decreased in two provinces at the same time. In the province of New Brunswick there was seen a decrease rate of 0.8% and in British Columbia there was seen a decrease rate of 12.2%.

• Prince Edward Island fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fees for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $9,000 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $1,900 – CAN $3,649

• Newfoundland and Labrador fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fees for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $8,880 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $1,900 – CAN $3,649.

• New Brunswick fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fees for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $7,943 – CAN $12,910 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $7,360 – CAN $9,484.

• Nova Scotia fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fees for undergraduate students in this region was  CAN $8,333 – CAN $14,449 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $5,745 – CAN $19,567.

• Ontario fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fees for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $6,800 – CAN $16,900 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $5,750 – CAN $26,900.

• Quebec fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fee for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $10,118 – CAN $12,850 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $ 9,278 – CAN $20,500.

• Saskatchewan fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fee for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $8,600 – CAN $11,600 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $2,200 – CAN $7,380.

• Manitoba fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fee for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $5,757 – CAN $8,000 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $4,270 – CAN $8,100.

• British Columbia fees rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fee for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $9,100 – CAN $17,800 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $2,500 – CAN $33,900.

• Alberta fee rates:

For the years 2006 – 2007, the academic fee for undergraduate students in this region was CAN $8,500 – CAN $15,263 and for graduate students the fees rate was CAN $5,750 – CAN $21,660.
