Basically Canada is a constitutional monarchy which has federal system, democratic tradition and parliamentary government. In the year 1982, the charter of rights and freedom was enacted in Canada with having group rights and guarantees basic individual. Actually she also appointed the governor general as prime minister of Canada for the time period of 5 years. Actually the prime minister is the political party leader which has much power and is also the head of Cabinet.

According to the law of Canada, the date of elections in Canada held is fourth October of every year and when ever the cabinet loses then the governor general has the power to dissolve the parliamentary elections as early as possible. All the 105 member senate vacancies are mostly filled by the governor general of Canada after advice by the prime minister. The best thing in Canada criminal law is that they are largely related to the British law and rules and regulations.
