Senator Rahila Magsi is the Islamabad, The chairperson of the Higher Education Commission, Dr Mukhtar Ahmed said that the fake degrees are being sold in the capital city of Islamabad. The chairman of HEC attended the Senate Standing Committee on the Federal Education and Professional Training  and he said that the federal government should take severe action against the fake degrees in the commercial universities, which has increased the concerns of the students and their future and it is also wastage of the money of their parents.

The minister assured the committee that the education ministry and HEC will try to solve this issue of affiliation of the college with the Islamia University Bahawalpur.

The student of Islamabad Law College, Muhammad Akmal took the admission in this college in 2015 and he paid the tuition fee of Rs.60,000 for LLB part 1. When he appeared in the exams, he was told that the affiliation of this college with IUB was ended. There are 209 aspirants of this law college, who completed their LLB part 1 and now they were for admission in LLB part 2 but there is no Law College, who take them. He also said that Islamabad Law College has also not announced the result of the exams. The chairman of HEC said that this college was supposedly involved in the sale of fake degrees.

HEC warned the institute not to start the new admission in the college and also solve the issue of affiliation within six months. The Law College got the stay order from the court and it started granting new admission in the college and it did not follow the orders of HEC. The Commission warned the students and their parents that they should not get admission in this college as it may be involved in issuing the fake degrees. The notification was appeared in the notable newspapers and also on its official website.

Senator Kamran Seher said that no action was taken on the establishment of the illegal educational institutes and the students have to face the problems. The chairman of HEC said that there are some of the students, who want to buy the fake degrees through money, which was not possible at the well reputed universities.
