First Technical, Vocational University of Pakistan Starts Education from October

Lahore, The delegation of the Tianjin University of Technical Education China visited the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) to make all necessary arrangements for setting up of the University of Technical and Vocational Education in Lahore.
The chairman of TEVTA spoke during the event and said that UTVE will become operational from October as the task was assigned by the CM Punjab. He said that the university will give 6 to 9 degree programs in different fields of study including BSc Electrical engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Automobile, Architecture and the Textile designing to about 2200 candidates. He also added that for the establishment of the university, the land has been acquired from TEVTA colleges, which are located in Township and Raiwind.
They selected the college and it would be given the status of the university with the association of TUTE. The faculty will be employed to set criteria by the higher education commission. He also said that the master trainer from TUTE will assist in the establishment of the advanced laboratories and curriculum. The chairperson of TEVTA signed the agreement for the establishment of University of Technical and Vocational Education during the visit of the CM Punjab to China last month.
