On Thursday, Farooq Awan, the Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Islamabad, told that in Pakistan, the video sharing website Youtube would be opened in the next 15-20 days.

Google, the company that owns Youtube has been talked to block blasphemous contents, as told by Awan.

In the aftermath of protest against anti-Islam film “Innocence of Muslims,” the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Raja Pervez Ashraf ordered to shutdown the video sharing website, Youtube on Sept 17.

From 1st December, only five SIMs could be issued on an individual’s CNIC, as told by the Chairman of PTA. Awan also added that the SIMs would also be issued from the franchise of mobile company stores.

The Youtube Management rejected the request of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), to remove irreligious video clips about the Holy Prophet (PBUH), which was learned earlier by the Supreme Court. They said that with the government of Pakistan, they do not have any such agreement.
